The ADTRAN® Total Access® 5000 offers a versatile Carrier Ethernet Transport Optical Switch (ETOS) as part of the Optical Networking Edge (ONE™) product line. The ETOS-1 provides Ethernet infrastructure aggregation and Ethernet service termination in the Total Access 5000 system. both direct customer interfaces (UNI: User-to-Network Interface) and direct connection to customer premises NTE (MEN/NNI: Metro Ethernet Network/Network-to-Network Interface), Non-Blocking Layer 2 Ethernet Switch and support for up to 4094 VLANs and up to 9 ERPS Rings.

Eliminates multi-box complexity with converged access, aggregation and packet optical transport via a single platform

In addition, ETOS-1 provides egress rate shaping, 4,000 Ethernet Virtual Circuits (EVC), 1,536 Policers and Up to 9 LAG groups between ports (1 HS, 8 MS), with In-band management support.
