The Total Access 3010 is an open-architecture, Carrier Class multiservice access platform for deploying broadband and xDSL services from TDM, Frame Relay, or ATM backbone infrastructures. The Total Access 3010 can be deployed as an Office Repeater Bay (ORB, M13 multiplexer, with the flexibility to deploy interoffice (DSX-1/E1) and/or outside plant loop interfaces (SHDSL, HDSL, Optical, E1, Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM), with extremely low first circuit and port cost Total Access supports a wide variety of management options. Transaction Language 1 (TL1) is used to communicate alarms with Telcordia’s NMATM Operations Support System (OSS) using an internal X.25 PAD. An Ethernet 10BaseT connector is used for Telnet access and connection to SNMP networks. ADTRAN’s Total Access EMS SNMP software, running on a workstation, provides a graphical user interface (GUI).

High-Density DSLAMs and Splitter Shelves

Its compact size (19" x 6") allows installation in places where space is limited, such as crowded COs, RT cabinets, co-location (COLO) sites, and customer premises equipment rooms. The Total Access platform provides a variety of loop and network interface modules. Most interfaces support Automatic Protection Switching (APS). For today’s TDM networks, Total Access supports DSX-1, DS3, STS-1, and OC-3 network interfaces with companion loop interfaces such as HDSL, HDSL2, T1, ISDN, and Optical DS2. Frame Relay and ATM network interface modules support HDSL2, SHDSL, ADSL, IDSL, and DSX-1 loop interfaces.
