Optional data encryption as well as Buffalo’s integrated software ensures hard drive data cannot be accessed on systems other than your TeraStation. Physical security is addressed with an integrated Kensington security slot, drive bay panel lock, and Buffalo’s Boot Authentication software.

The out-of-box experience is simplified as TeraStation 3010 ships with NAS-grade hard drives preconfigured
in RAID. Designed for reliable operations in an always-on environment, NAS drives are much more stable and
reliable than standard desktop hard drives. TeraStation 3010 models qualify for Buffalo's Data Recovery
Service after product registration.
