Q: What is a CimFAX Network Fax Server?
A: CimFax is a turnkey fax solution that connects to standard PSTN fax lines or an Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) with SIP. It provides both software and web management interface and allows you to receive faxes wherever you are as e-mails and send faxes from any application that can print. The system provides distributed faxing capabilities, over a WAN, from a corporate office to small remote offices as well as to field salespeople. The Standard Edition provides support for smaller office environments and the Professional/Ultimate editions provide support for medium to enterprise organizations that require large amounts of users and fax lines.

 

Q: How many phone lines can CimFAX support?
A: The CimFax base models have either 1 or 2 fax lines and depending on the model chosen can support up to 2,048 fax lines and over 400,000 users when they are bound together with their built-in software.

 

Q: How many users can CimFAX support?
A:
CimFax Standard Edition = 5, 10, or 20 users depending on the license
CimFax Professional Edition = 100 users in a single unit and up to 6400 users when bound with local multiple units
CimFax Ultimate Edition = 400 users in a single unit and up to 400,000 users when bound with local multiple units

 

Q: How many pages can CimFAX support?
A: The CimFax can support 5,000 to 320,000 pages depending on the model.

 

Q: What is CimFAX Network Fax Server Binding?
A: The CimFax Professional and Ultimate editions support the ability to connect multiple CimFax standalone units together. This allows the CimFax to increase the number of users and fax lines it can support. The binding is configured in the CimFax unit and is accomplished utilizing its IP addresses. The professional edition supports locally attached CimFAX units and the Ulitmate support remote CimFAX units.

 

Q: Can the CimFAX support high speed 33.6kbps faxes?
A: Yes, the Professional and Ultimate model series support Super G3 (v.34).

 

Q: Does the CimFAX Fax server support T.38?
A: Currently it does not but it is on a future roadmap

 

Q: Can the CimFAX support analog DID/DDI to route faxes?
A: Yes, the CimFAX supports Line CSID, DTMF, and Caller ID.

 

Q: Does the CimFAX support Fax Queues?
A: Yes, Priority can also be assigned to move time-sensitive faxes ahead of low priority faxes

 

Q: Does the CimFAX support incoming faxes to specific individuals?
A: Yes, CimFAX has built-in extension numbers for incoming faxes. When a fax is sent to the CimFax, it can be configured to play an announcement and accept digit input for a user extension.

 

Q: Does the CimFAX support Faxing from my PC, Laptop, or Smartphone?
A: Yes, the CimFAX free software to load on your PC, Laptop, or smartphone. Android and Apple are supported. From most any application on your PC or Laptop, you simply select the CimFAX printer instead of your standard printer.

A: Yes

A: Yes, you can send a single fax to multiple recipients
